Hi.

Yeah, so I haven’t quite decided what I’m going to blog about. Great right? But the way I see it, when I’m rich and famous this post will be shoved to the bottom the feed with all the other rubbish I will undoubtably post, so this first post is more for me – as a kind or start point/brainstorm.
So me. I’m so ‘run of the mill’ it’s unreal, just like where I live. I live on a drab little island in the English Channel (somewhere between France and Enlgand) which for a guy about to turn 18 (5 months to go) can be rather stunting. It’s advertised as “The warmest place in the British Isles” but that’s really not saying much, and that’s all it’s really got going for itself. However I see this as merely a waiting game, as I plan to move to London in September of this year to attend university.
I have two real loves in my life; 1. Music and 2. Style
And it is these two topics that I originally planned to blog about.
Now I must explain the ‘style’ aspect of that, as I’m sure most of you would have jumped to the conclusion that I’m a gay man. Sorry to disappoint guys but I’m straight and am currently in a loving relationship (with a woman). Life is hard for a straight man in the style and fashion world – especially in a judgemental all boys school that is go to. Only the other day I made a speech to the class on the importance of hair styles and hair care to the class, and while it was well received I also was assumed homosexual, not that there is anything wrong with being homosexual, I’d just rather be known as the straight man I am. This is why I’m here. The internet is a wasteland for the entire worlds crap, and I could think of no better place to share my findings on certain topics and genres.
On to the music – up to the age of about 8 or 9, music was just anther part of life for me, I didn’t dislike it, it was just another thing that my horribly ignorant mind just accepted into my world. This was until my grandparents bought me an acoustic guitar from their trip to France. This sparked an interest that has consumed me from then until the present day, to the point where I am practising at least an hour a day and am studying Music A Level at school. My iTunes library is a wasteland (much like the internet) of anything that I’ve either listened to and not hated, or that the miracle of iCloud has introduced me to (Cliff Richard was my Mums idea) but either way I’ll be listening to it and enjoy at least one part of it. Guitar lead me to teach myself other instruments, such as the bass, piano, ukulele, mandolin, drums and most recently the banjo. I gig as frequently as I can and may even post some recordings on here if anyone bothers to check in. If the feeling hits me I may even post about guitar tech and albums and other such things, if the feeling hit me.

But that’s me in a nutshell – I’m sure there are other things that will pop up from time to time that I’ve missed, but that’s enough for now, I don’t even know if anyone will listen! But if you are reading this and have gotten this far – thanks, and don’t be afraid to check back from time to time, it can’t be that bad…
